Anna Frissell
Anna Frissell was born in Fargo and has lived in this area most of her life. She started taking photos with a film camera, learning to shoot but never getting much of an opportunity to shape her photos. Anna would buy film according to the ISO and type, shoot and send to the most reasonable photo processor she could find. Occasionally, she would have an opportunity to do her own processing in a darkroom, but this was rare. When digital photography became accessible, it changed everything. She began to love photography and all the possibilities that digital shooting, editing and printing brought for her.
Today, she looks forward to a day out shooting alone or with friends. Chasing the moments when the perfect light meets the bird, tree, or whatever is before the camera. For Anna, photography is about capturing light in the moment.
She loves to upload her photos and watch them come to life on her computer. She enjoys post processing and printing the finished image. The act of printing is another chance to be thrilled with the art of the image and to share it. Anna says Gallery 4 offers her the place to finally share her images with the community and art supporters.
