Oil and acrylic paintings
Doug Stuckle receives inspiration from many different subjects.
He was born and raised near Courtenay, North Dakota, a small farming community north of Jamestown, North Dakota. As an adult he farmed for a number of years and did custom farming work and construction work.
Stuckle started painting part time in acrylic and oil and learned from reading many books and magazines, watching videos, and seminars. Any travel usually includes time spent finding scenes and subjects to photograph and later paint. Favorite subjects are scenes from the Midwest, people and wildlife. He also enjoys painting the cars and machinery that have come to define our culture.
Doug is a full time artist living in Glyndon, Minnesota. He joined Gallery 4 in November 2014.
