Mosaics, ceramics and magnets
Kathryn Luther combines witty phrases in her tile mosaic art.
She is an artist who teaches. Luther is committed to sharing her passion for all art. Luther's college degree was just the beginning of a journey which has lead her through years of experimentation, discovery and personal expression in an unusual medium.
Mosaics are an ancient and durable art form made from clay, glass, stone, wood, paper; any material which can be broken and cut to form a design. The earthenware tiles used in the majority of these pieces are produced in her studio south of Fargo. Whether a wall piece, pottery, sculpture or furniture, each mosaic is, by nature, a testimony to the humble appeal of shape, color and texture.
