Printmaking
Laura VonBank grew up in Fargo surrounded by talented family artists, yet she never had the courage to seriously pursue art until later in life. VonBank graduated from the University of Minnesota, Duluth with a BFA in technical theater. Later, she became a registered nurse but never lost that creative spark. In 2016 she joined the FM Visual Artists and has since participated in 25+ group exhibitions around the region. Her work has been honored with multiple awards and was accepted in juried shows at the Plains Art Museum and galleries in Vermont and Arkansas. The linocut, “Rhapsody in Wheat”, was accepted into the 2023 Cheap Joe’s Art Stuff Reference Catalog.
Over the years she dabbled in a variety of media, but now gravitates to printmaking with its endless possibilities. Her art celebrates the beauty of nature and rural life. Laura resides in Moorhead and helps her husband with the family farm.
